I created this series in order to explore psychoacoustics through emotion – to bring a group together sonically in improvisation through shared experiences, tapping into memories, and practical gestures, evocative images, or imagined scenes.

Maugre (2019)

This is a concept piece focused on the expression of the internal lives of the musicians in the ensemble itself. It became about building a meditative practice for the musicians to express both frustration in reaction to mistreatment of artists by those in power, and hope in solidarity among intersectional groups promoting equality and compassion.

Tone poem for singers/speakers and mixed small ensemble, with live feedback processing through Max MSP.
